We're just as excited as you are when we heard the news about Alberta's plan for Stage 2 reopening. We've been dying to get back out to enjoy a movie in a real theatre eating real theatre popcorn. The reality is that most theatres aren't ready for the new changes and they are working hard to comply with all physical distancing rules. The Alberta government created a Guidance for Movie Theatres and here are some recommendations for theatres before they reopen:

• Movie theatres must set up processes and infrastructure to support 2 metres of distance to be maintained between patrons and households in all areas of the theatre.
• A maximum of 100 people are permitted per theatre room. Smaller rooms will have lower maximum.
• Consider empty seats between patrons/party to keep 2 metres apart.
• Staggered start and end times.
• Provide hand sanitizer in high touch surfaces.
• Enhanced cleaning and disinnfecting
• Staff is encouraged to wear non-medical masks.
• Online admission ticketign where possible.
